Family Counseling and Therapy
Services include individual psychotherapy, family therapy, behavior modification, and parent training. Our facility is a hub of enriching, supportive, and inclusive activities that bring together children, clients, and adults from our diverse community. IIC use social group work methodology and purposeful activities to involve participants' in group experiences that promote individual growth, support family life, and create a sense of community.
We also host special events, i.e. workshops and conferences, family fun night, youth movie night and etc.
Through a combination of center-based workshops and counseling, IIC works closely with families who have experienced crises and helps prevent crisis situations in the future. We offer individual and family counseling services both on-site and at home that help to ensure all families get healthier and happier starts.
Group Counseling and Therapy
Groups are developed for our youth dealing with similar issues related to abuse, neglect, and addiction, mental and behavioral health. Group Counseling provides many valuable opportunities for healing and growth within a supportive environment.
Individual Counseling and Therapy
Individual counseling is a collaborative effort between youth and their counselor to provide an open, supportive, and confidential environment for youth to address the issues.
All Individual and Family Counseling and Therapy Services are offered Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Special appointments are available on Saturday. Our Crisis Intervention staff is available 24 hours 7days a week
Parent Café
Our Café program offers family nights, special events, cultural outings, and volunteer support.
Regular outreach to and problem-solving with parents focused on issues of behavior, academic performance, and social development that helps sustain a large number of clients and fosters parental trust in the program. The Parent Advisory Council collaborates with staff on program planning, review, and development.
After School Program (K-8)
The hours after school is known to be a high-risk time for delinquent behavior. Our after-school program provides a consistent schedule, homework assistance, quiet and active treatment. Our quality program allows children the ability to socialize with their peers in an environment that is supervised but less structured than the normal school day. We provide a variety of structured yet flexible learning and active treatment experiences. We offer an afternoon snack, homework assistance and stimulating educational and physical activities, small group activities, games, arts and crafts and outdoor play {weather permitting). After school care is available until 7:00 p.m.
